New Coop!
My husband has started the new chicken coop!!!
I am very very excited and hope it will be finished this weekend :)
The chickens are going to LOVE it. The babies in the basement will finally get to be outside!!

We are down to 28 chickens now. We had 30 but gave 2 Buff Orp Roos away as we don't need them.
Last week our BR and 2 Wellies began to lay which is super exciting!! We now have 7 laying hens. More to begin soon!

Well here is were we are....
3 Large Welsummers.
2 Welsummer Pullets.
3 Barred Rock Pullets.
6 Barred Rock Cochin Mixes.
3 Easter Eggers.
6 buff Orp Chicks
5 Cuckoo Marans Chicks
4 Welsummer Chicks that just hatched Christmas.
Yeah...we are crazy....but..this is it now more!

Our first EGG!!!
So Justice and I are walking along with our new puppy Jethro. We walk up the drive way and check the chickens...Justice starts yelling AN EGG!!!!! AN EGG!!!! AN EGG!!!

2nd coop!
We are about half way finished with the 2nd coop and the first one isn't even completely done yet!!!
We had to build another one though because Sunday we are picking up BIG Welsummers!!! They are gorgeous! and...they are laying!!!!! Yummmm....
We have CHICKENS!!!!
Here are out fist actual chickens :D We got these beautiful birds from a member of Backyard Chickens.
We have 3 Barred Rock Pullets. 1 Barred Rock Cockeral and 2 Welsummer Pullets. BEAUTIFUL!
The kids just loved them and we had to MAKE them get OUT of the cage to come inside! Maybe once they settle down a bit we will get pics of the kids holding the chicks :)

The Decision!
OK! We have finally made the firm decision!! We are getting CHICKENS!!! My husband is working on building a coop and run. I am working on an incubator!
